2025 Pilgrimage of Discovery Recipients to be Revealed April 11th!

We are thrilled to announce that the recipients of the 2025 Pilgrimage of Discovery will be revealed on April 11th across our social media channels! This year, 16 outstanding young leaders from across the country, representing all the Greek Orthodox Metropolises and possibly other Orthodox jurisdictions, will be selected to take part in this transformative journey.

The Pilgrimage of Discovery is a unique program designed to immerse young Orthodox leaders, ages 23-30, in the history of Constantinople and the spiritual significance of the Ecumenical Patriarchate to discover their Orthodox roots. Through this life-changing journey, participants will strengthen their faith, their connection to the Holy Mother Church in Constantinople and the global Orthodox community. The program has grown significantly since its inception—starting with five recipients in 2023, expanding to 16 in 2024, and welcoming applicants from other Orthodox jurisdictions in 2025.

Dr. John Fotopoulos PH. D., Chair of the Pilgrimage of Discovery Selection Committee, shared, “We received an incredible number of applications from across the country, and it was truly inspiring to see such a strong pool of applicants. Selecting just 16 participants was no easy task, but we are confident that this group will represent the best of our faith and community.”

As we embark on our third Pilgrimage of Discovery, founder Hellena Chrones expressed her excitement: “It is incredible to see how this program continues to grow and impact young Orthodox leaders. We are eager to welcome this new group of participants and guide them through this unique and meaningful experience.”
